Here you will find a variety of points of view on my Vintage Custom Boutique Hand/Scatter Wound Pickups.

I specialize in Vintage Fender single coil pickups only.  Available in sets of three or loaded pickguards.  They include Pre-CBS models 63's, 59's, 57/62's, and 54's. Wound with Vintage Formvar wire. I also build early CBS gray bottoms 64/65-1970, 1969's, and 1982 red bottom/white top AVRI's.  All wound with plain enamel wire.

I purchased the '59 set for an upgrade to a 05 American deluxe strat still equipped with the original SCN pickups and the S1 switch.  After the installation of the '59 set, I have put the guitar through all it could possibly handle.  These 59's are capable of giving me any and every sound.  The blender makes the tonality options seamless.  Clean, dirty or anywhere in between.  This pickup set breathes the glorious gift of new life and a new song!  Transplant successful!

What can I say.  These just may be the best '54 pickups I've ever owned.  Super quiet, responsive to dynamics.  All three pickup tones are just pure creamy Fendery buttery sweetness.  Position 2 of 5 nails Eric Johnson tones.  Thanks Jobe!

1963 Pickups

BUY THESE PICKUPS! I just finished installing 3 of Jobes pickups in my Stratocaster, after not liking the Fender Custom Shop 69s or the Yosemite's  that came with the guitar.  I am still grinning ear to ear because I finally found that vintage "Strat" sound I've always heard from the pros but could never hear coming out of my own amp. The pickups are hand made and are a work of art!  Jobe took a lot of time answering myquestions and helping me.  Thanks Jobe!

Wow! I am amazed by the sound of these pickups!  I searched for a while before coming across miemusic.  When I read the description and how much work & research goes into making these vintage style pickups, I knew I had to give them a try.  I was very impressed with the sound & quality!  Along with a loaded pickguard comes some paper work & details on each pickup that was wound. Shipping was fast, & very well packaged!  I will definitely be a repeat customer for me next Stratocaster build!

Excellent communication about every aspect of build.  It waas essentially a custom build to my preferences, with the highest quality parts.  It was for "62" R.I. strat that I have had a long time with many pickups, but not the original's.  I chose red/white bobbins and original specs/parts as tribute to rare R.I. pickups.  they sound like they should.  Full big bottomend and clean top.  Powerful but not harsh.  Small business, highly knowledgeable builder and seller.
